Construction recently commenced on the long-awaited Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The first of three phases is slated for completion in early 2010.
Located in Desert Center, California, the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway is a private, world class, club racing facility for high performance automobiles and motorcycles. The club caters to all levels of driver experience, providing classes from the novice to the advanced.
In this phase, Pave West is contracted to:
- install approximately eight miles of fencing
- repair the existing roadways
- grade the perimeter road
- grade and construct the fire access road
- perform all concrete work, including flat work, pit walls and curbs, and track curbs
- install all underground pipe work
- apply all base and asphalt paving of the paddock, circulation and hot pit roadways
- all signing and striping for the facility, including the track
- pave the 2.7- mile long, 40-foot wide track
This is an exciting opportunity for Pave West, and the entire Coachella Valley, to be an integral partner in the construction of a premier facility that will greatly contribute to the opportunities for racing enthusiasts, not only in Southern California, but in Arizona and Nevada as well.
