COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Pave West has a comprehensive and strictly enforced Injury and Illness Prevention Program which includes the Code of Safe Practices. Examples of company-mandated safety measures are:
- Every employee is briefed on and all employees adhere to the Code of Safe Practices.
- Our full-time Safety Administrator is responsible for equipment and safety training of every member of the field crews.
- Our field crews are trained in traffic control and public safety.
- Each jobsite has weekly tailgate meetings to discuss potential safety and wellness issues.
- All operators are safety certified
- All crews subject to random drug testing
- A number of crews are federally and refinery-level certified, specifically OSCA (Occupational Safety Councils of America) and LARSO (Los Angeles Refinery Safety Overview)
| Pave West maintains an aggressive safety program to insure the health and well being of their employees, subcontractors, customers and the public. The company puts a high value on extensive training and re-training to enforce and foster a complete culture of safety. Pave West is proud of their record, and attributes it to their promotion of safety through their manuals; training and certification; tailgate meetings; and the enforcement of regulations by supervisors and managers. Pave West strives to be an industry leader in promoting a safe workplace.
