What exactly is Value Engineering? Sci-Tech Encyclopedia says it is used when the goal is to, “secure as much as possible of what is wanted from each unit of the resource used…(it) is unique in that it effectively uses both knowledge and creativity, and provides step-by-step techniques for maximizing the benefits from both.” 

An alternative definition would simply be:

In a nutshell, it is figuring out the most effective options, both in relation to scope as well as cost, for getting the job done. If our estimate exceeds your budget we want to work with you to get the job done within your cost requirements. If you have a box, we will think outside of it.

When it come to innovative applications and the latest in materials, our experience encompasses complete demolition, crushing and pulverizing of old, in-place materials, cement and lime treatments of subgrades, and the full array of subgrade and pavement fabrics on the market today. We pride ourselves on the depth of our knowledge and experience in complete asphalt recycling and re-engineering to use the existing job site conditions to the advantage of our clients. Where others may see problems, we see potential solutions.

 

When Pave West arrived at the Azusa Commons (Citrus and Alosta) jobsite we discussed different options that would meet the needs of the owner.  After exploring various recycling alternatives, we jointly developed a scope that not only worked superbly, but saved the owner a bit of money also.

Rather than removing and replacing the asphalt at this site, Pave West pulverized it, re-graded it and then paved on top of the grindings.  The result worked beautifully, Pave West was able to streamline the process and they were a pleasure to work with.
